The Blue Butterfly summer camp is held in the historical St. John's Fortress in Šibenik. The old fortress was built in 1646, and today it provides accommodation, classrooms and organized educational spaces for our English summer camp.

The Blue Butterfly summer camp is held in the historical St. John's Fortress in Šibenik.
St. John's Fortress was built in 1646 in less than two months at the beginning of the Candian War according to the project of the Venetian military engineer Antonio.
A year later, in 1647, there were heavy battles with the army of the Turkish pasha Tekelija, who wanted to occupy it in order to rule the city.
The fortress has a star-shaped ground plan, and on the northern side it is reinforced by a high brick embankment in the shape of a pincer (Italian: tanaglia), which is where the name Tanaja, which the people of Šibenik often use, comes from.
During the second half of the 17th century, the fortress was reshaped and strengthened several times.

SCIENCE PROGRAM:
Program STEM je akronim satkan od početnih slova četiriju područja – science (znanost), technology (tehnologija), engineering (inženjerstvo) i mathematics (matematika).
The United States is a leader in these areas of education. Our English teachers from the United States will pass on to you the knowledge gained through their own experience and education within the American education system.
Schedule:
- 7.30 – waking up
- 7.45 – exercise
- 8.00 – 8.30 – breakfast
- 9.00 - 12.30 – classes
- 13.00 -13.30 – lunch
- 14.00 – 16.00 – workshops (jewelry making, herbarium, social games, water sports...)
- 17.00 – 19.00 – swimming accompanied by animators
- 19.15 – 20.00 – dinner
- 20.00 - 22.30 – evening program (disco, karaoke, astronomy...)
The morning hours are reserved for exercise and study, and the afternoon hours for sports and social activities and various workshops.
